El Compadre.

I'm not going to tell you its good Mexican Food. It's not.
But if you want a restaurant so dark that when you emerge the sun feels like its going to melt your eyeballs, this is it.

Lunch time is typically dead (although not yesterday, perhaps because it was Friday?), and I can hide out there for hours. A few months ago, a friend of mine was looking for a place to schedule a lunch for Megan Fox, somewhere she could disappear. He'd been there with me, recommended it to her, and she loved it.
And whats not to love? Red booths, red light bulbs, and the margaritas are on FIRE for christssake.
If this place ever gets "upgraded" as places with character tend to do, I might have to kill someone.
