BMW R7 prototype, 1937

I dont care about motorcycles, and I dont pretend to know a thing about them. But this is a thing of beauty.

‘After over seventy years languishing in a box the BMW R7 has been restored to its former glory. The motorcycle was manufactured in 1934 as a prototype and never went into production It was put in a box and into storage after some usable parts were stripped and used in other projects.
‘In June 2005, the box was opened. Inside, the R7 was 70 per cent complete, but its condition was not good. Restoration became slightly easier when the original design drawings were discovered in the BMW archives.
‘It is now displayed in the BMW Museum and on the road’
